Best time to visit

Switzerland is an all-time favorite travel destination for many people worldwide and it’s perfectly understandable. It offers a wide range of outdoor activities with stunning nature viewings. And that’s not everything, every season has something different to offer so it’s only natural to say that the best time to visit Switzerland really depends on what YOU want to see or do. Overall, the best time would be during the summer, which is high season as every hiking trail will be open and the weather will be the most pleasant.

Winter

November - March

Winter is best for snow and winter sports as many people will enjoy their ski or snowboard vacation during these months. Also, don’t forget about the Christmas markets that are happening!

Spring

April - May

During these months, you will get a chance to do some amazing hikes (not all, because of the snow that’s left), but with less money spent as it’s shoulder season.

Summer

June - early September

This will be the most busiest time to visit Switzerland, but you’ll also have the best chance of good weather AND all the hiking trails to be open. The downside would be the prices that will increase.

Autumn

mid-September - October

Fall is a good time to visit Switzerland, because of the colorful foliage! As a bonus, it’s less expensive to visit, but there can be some things already closed because of the bad/colder weather.
